The FAQ
Do you Travel?
I do! There is often a small travel fee for anything over 45 mins away for standard shoots and a small travel fee for weddings off the coast.
Do you retouch photos?
I edit all images. Your gallery will be edited in line with my current work on display here. All editing decisions are at my discretion and it is super important to choose a photographer that has an editing style you love.
What's your turn around time?
A sneak peek is uploaded to socials and then your full gallery turn around is 2-4 weeks and weddings are 6-8 weeks.
How do we book you?
Send me an email to let me know what kind of session you would like and we can chat further, you can also keep up to date with things on my Facebook private group, so feel free to join.
Can you help us with planning?
Yes, I go over times for your shoot and location options that would best suit you and your family's needs. I also suggest clothing and colour options should you wish to seek my advice.
How far in advance do I need to book?
I fill up very fast throughout the year and can be booked up months in advance. To avoid disappointment, it is never too early to book.
What should we wear?
I love dresses with bold colour and floral prints, whites, beiges and tans are always great for base colours. Remember these are your special photos; dress up in something that's not your everyday jeans and go all out for your photo shoot, they will be hanging on your wall for years to come!
What is a session fee?
You pay a small session fee upon booking in. This covers my time, travel, processing of images, and admin. You then choose which photo package you would like. There is always an option to upgrade this after our shoot should you wish to.
What is a sneak peek?
Sneak peeks are an additional, complimentary service that require me to spend the time to select a few extra special images from your session. Sneak peaks are shared on socials for you to enjoy, however remain copyright to Photography By Jules. It is great for you to like and comment on the sneaks so your family and friends can enjoy them whilst supporting me and my passion. Give the sneak peak the love it deserves.
What time do you shoot?
Last light of the day. Generally this is 1 hour prior to sunset because it will create the best images possible as it's the best lighting of the day. We call it Golden Hour. Unless you would like a sunrise shoot, all other shoots will be scheduled for 1 hour prior to sunset.
Do you have a studio?
No I don't have my own studio. However I do have a gorgeous intimate space I can hire for a small additional fee should you really want to have your session done in a studio setting. Otherwise I come to you home for newborn sessions or we can opt for outdoors.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, you can email me directly and we can organise a gift card for your loved one. Truly the most memorable gift to give
What payment options do you have?
We offer bank transfer on request, so if this is how you would like to pay your invoice let me know. We also have PAY PAL, with pay in 4, and credit/debit card. Card options will incur an admin fee.
Do you do Mini sessions?
Yes! I offer these 3 or 4 times a year. Christmas Minis, Mother's Day Minis, Winter Blossom Minis are amongst the faves. More info on these are in my Facebook VIP group. Feel free to join to have first access.
